Promotion of William C. King: 

SC is pleased to announce that Will King has been promoted to the position of Principal. Will joined the SC team as an Analyst in April 2018, and was promoted to Senior Associate and then Vice President in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Prior to joining Svoboda Capital Partners, Will was as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division of BMO Capital Markets in Chicago. Will earned a Bachelor degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Advisory Board Member Appointment of John L. Simpson:

SC announces the appointment of John Simpson to the SC Advisory Board. After nearly two years as an Operating Partner, Simpson will be transitioning to the Advisory Board and leaving his full-time role with SC to take the CEO position with Convert IT Marketing, an entrepreneurial digital agency focused on the legal sector. Prior to joining SC, Simpson spent 20 years in the legal marketing space including as the CEO of One North Interactive (“One North”), a digital marketing agency and SC Fund III portfolio company, so the Convert IT Marketing role is a unique opportunity for him to build a business in an area he knows well.

As mentioned, prior to joining SC, Simpson was the co-founder and CEO of One North, a leading digital marketing agency. He led the management buyout of Hubbard One from Thomson Reuters to create One North, and guided the business through its growth phases, recapitalization with SC, and eventual sale to TEKsystems. John began his career at Accenture and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Vanderbilt University.
